Kidsteader Day at the AWM

Join us for KIDSTEADER DAY at the Appalachian Women's Museum on October 25 from 1-3 pm and discover how kids can get involved in homesteading with mason jar crafts, a seed planting demonstration, and a fun, interactive storytime with Carolyn Bennett Fraiser, author of M IS FOR MASON JAR. Come explore, grow, and get your hands dirty! Books will be available for purchase onsite from City Lights Bookstore. $5 suggested donation to participate in the event.

 

Carolyn Bennett Fraiser is a local author of several educational and lyrical nonfiction books for children, including the award-winning book MOON TREE (Reycraft Books). Her latest book M IS FOR MASON JAR (Familius Books) introduces young kids to a variety of homesteading activities in a fun A-Z format. Carolyn lives on a small homestead in Brevard, North Carolina, where she works with young authors and serves on the board of Bound for Glory, a summer literacy and adventure camp for struggling readers.
