Blessing of the Backpacks

Description

Join St. John's Episcopal Church for a special Blessing of the Backpacks during our 11:00 AM Holy Eucharist as we begin a new school year.

Students of all ages are invited to bring their backpacks to receive a blessing as we pray for a year of learning, growth, wisdom, and God's guidance. Teachers, school staff, faculty, homeschool families, and everyone involved in education are warmly invited to participate as well.

Whether you're heading to preschool, elementary school, high school, Southwestern Community College, Western Carolina University, a homeschool classroom, or another year of teaching or serving, we invite you to begin the school year surrounded by prayer and worship.
