Now Hiring: Youth Care Worker (PRN) – Flexible, Part-Time Role

Hawthorn Heights WNC is seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to join our team as Youth Care Workers (PRN). This is an as-needed position, with all shifts available, including day, evening, weekend, and overnight shifts. Preference will be given to candidates willing to work overnight shifts.

About the Role:

Youth Care Workers provide direct supervision and support to adolescents in our residential program, ensuring a safe, structured, and nurturing environment. This role involves engaging with youth in daily routines, schoolwork, recreational activities, and therapeutic programming while promoting positive behavior, personal growth, and life skills development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and monitor the behavior and activities of youth in the program, ensuring safety and adherence to house rules
• Maintain regular contact with schools, therapists, and other community supports to track residents’ progress
• Assist with homework, recreational activities, social interactions, and life skills development
• Complete daily progress notes and incident reports as needed
• Provide emotional support and mentorship, fostering a positive and respectful environment
• Ensure adherence to program guidelines and assist in conflict resolution and crisis intervention when necessary

Ideal Candidates:

We are looking for individuals who:
 Are empathetic, patient, and committed to working with at-risk youth
Have experience in childcare, mental health, social services, education, or a related field (preferred but not required)
 Can communicate effectively and work well in a team setting
 Are flexible and available for varying shifts, including nights and weekends
