Parish Hall
All are welcome! Always.
Join us each Tuesday for St. John’s Book Club, a weekly opportunity to read, learn, and discuss together as part of our adult Christian education program.
This fall we’ll be reading Misquoting Jesus: The Story Behind Who Changed the Bible and Why by Bart D. Ehrman, exploring the origins of the New Testament and how the biblical text has been transmitted through history. We’ll discuss one section each week, with everyone encouraged to read the assigned pages beforehand.
The group is open to everyone. No registration is required, and participants are welcome to join at any point and attend as their schedules allow.
Reading Schedule
Need a copy? The book is available through the NC Cardinal library system, at the public libraries in Sylva, Franklin, and Cashiers, on Kindle, and through City Lights Bookstore in Bryson City. If there is sufficient interest, we’ll coordinate a group book order.
We hope you’ll join us as we explore scripture, history, and faith together through engaging conversation.
